All Frocked Out!

Finally returned home from my long weekend in London and I think it's safe to say that I'm all Frocked Out!
Thank you Kyra and Michaela for making Frock On happen, it's been a pleasure!

My frilly adventure begins on August 30th when we set off from Middlesbrough at 7:45 @__@
The bus took a good 6 hours to get there (although we did arrive in London a little early) and it was a butt numbing 6 hours for sure with no half way break :(
I personally did a lot of sleeping anyway so I guess I wasn't too fussed.
It was a bit of a trek to the hotel which wasn't really fabulous and it was so warm >< darn you London and your super warm weather! I travelled down in my Batman jumper to be cosy on the bus but to hell with it now!
Having arrived at a very nice hotel (much, much nicer than the one the Little Asian and I stayed at) the jumper came off, the aircon came on and my face met the pillow!

Hanging up our dresses so they don't get creased ^^ I'm still amazed at Kwannie's super packing skills!

Following the freshening up, we went out to Piccadilly Circus to do dinner. We ended up at Pizza Hut and I dearly hoped that Baby's Cats would still fit in the morning xD

Emma, Jordan, Carly, Kwannie & Heather
Journeying out to feed our frilly food babies

Waddling in a borrowed (and very short for loli) dress as I try to find the whereabouts of my wifey.

As Emma, Kwannie and Hana adventured off to the fashion show rehearsal, the rest of us adventured onwards going into TokyoToys, another really cute shop in the Trocadero Centre, The Japan Centre and Uniqlo which I fell in love with! The texture of their clothing is amazing! I bought a t-shirt and will never get over how soft and comfy it is ^^ the puffer jackets were also amazing! But how many people can actually look good in a puffer jacket? I know I can't but I'd love to make a quilt out of them!
Finally, we went down China Town and I was able to get some Bubble Tea from BubbleCha! Yay!
I also finished my embroidery for the Little Asian that night!

FROCK ON!
31st August 2013

Wheeee! The day I've awaited and spent loads on finally arrives! Today is the ultimate day of frills!

Travelling down with Emma and the twinsies!

One Whitehall Place - a BEAUTIFUL venue!

Pre-Frock On I had a disaster and had forgotten my ticket and I was still panicky even though I'd been told it's ok if I have my order confirmation until I got there and was presented with another ticket ^^'
Jo caressed Baby's Cats while I caressed her beautiful Surface Spell dress (I want this dress so bad!)

Homina, homina! Bring and Buy sale!
This is where I saw Innocent World's Happy Pie Apron JSK
AKA Boob Pie! I can't believe I actually saw it in person and saw someone buy it. Now I wish I tried it on and took a photo of me in it! For me, that is better than owning it!

I bought some VERY beautiful Grimoire OTKS! They don't go with any of my loli but I look forward to wearing them none the less!

Me with the very adorable designer Hitomi.  The Grimoire website is a real visual treat *w* check it out!

Coco Milk did a panel on how to and how not to pose in photos. The Malfoy anyone ;) (memory depending, I might do a round up of the poses haha)

Being kawaii with Caitin   A wifely photo with Hana  And Michaela wanting in xD

Derping with Erin - it really has been a pleasuring derping at Frock On with you! And this is officially one of the worst arm hearts I have ever laid eyes upon xD

A beautifully derpy photo with my amazing Leeds Comm. I love you all!!!

At the end of a beautiful day of frilly goodness we ended our Frock On adventure with a nice Japanese meal together ^^

The goods! That Victorian Maiden dress *heart*
I can't believe it actually fits! xD

This year's Frock On has been an absolute treat and I'm so happy to have been able to make it!
Now to end this long post with another beautiful photo of me and Erin ;)

Allllpacpacpacpacpac: the Alpacalypse!

The 24th and 25th August marked the birth of ONECon!
The first day was a bit quiet for me in terms of being an artist but as promised, it was full of geeky goodness!

Meta goodness!

The guy who sold me my alpacas back at Q-Con was here too. He recognised me and wanted to know how I got all 3 alapacas home ^^'
I' have save so much money and hassle if I knew he'd be coming to ONECon!!!!

SOOOOOOO Many alpacas!

More Meta goodness for Sunday!

The sales rose lotsies today much to my delight! I was so busy with commissions!

Thank you to all the lovely people who commissioned me! You are effectively putting money towards my Frock On fund haha xD
No really, I am really happy that you like my art <3

Small Asians, Big City: Herro Rondon

On Monday 5th August me and the little Asian (I'm Big Asian despite being really little) went to *Rondon
On my last visit (the Q-Con visit) we made a list of the things we wanted to go see:

1. Jack the Ripper Tour
2. British Museum
3. Madame Tussaud
4. Natural History Museum
5. Freud Museum
6. Sherlock Holmes Museuem
7. London Aquarium
8. Hampton Court Palace
9. Harry Potter Studios
10 London Zoo

Here is a glimpse of our little adventure, let's see how many things we managed to cross off the list!

* Monday 5th August *
We arrived at Kings Cross Station a while after 4pm and went straight to our hotel (Belgrave Hotel) which turned out to be literally across the road. However, it couldn't be that easy! We had to overcome at least 3 sets of traffic lights (which took forever to change) before we could get there @___@
The hotel...hmm, couldn't call it fabulous, especially not for the price we paid for it. The receptionist looked pretty glum and the walls had holes in them O.O
I was like 'sei la...hak dim ahhhh~'  (shit...it's a trouble-spot hotel~ )
It rained a lot when we got there so there wasn't much opportunity to explore although when the rain cleared a tad we adventured out to get the Tube to Buckingham Palace.

Things off the list so far: 0

* Tuesday 6th August *
On Tuesday we adventured out to Buckingham Palace again to see the changing of the Queen's Guard. The place was absolutely pack and we were literally like sardines in a can ><
It was very hard to see anything, especially at my height :(
Fortunately I could see in the iPad in from of me as some guy filmed the whole thing.

Buckingham Palace Gardens

Since it wasn't too far from the V&A we adventured there next and had a good nosy. After much nosying it seemed that sadly, we weren't as excited about it as we thought (on my part, it might be because I've been here countless times). Part of me wanted to ask someone if they still had the Lolita exhibition archived somewhere but in the end I decided against it in case they didn't know what I was talking about and thought the little Asian or I had some weird fetishes.

Things off the list so far: 0 (the Natural History Museum's queue was too long for us to attempt)

* Wednesday 7th August *
We were VERY disappointed with the lack of things crossed off the list so today we made an attempt to get things done! We started off with going to the British Museum where we marveled at the goods we'd pinched since Queen Victoria's reign and we learnt 2 things. If it's missing a head, the statue is Greek and if it's missing limbs, it's Roman!

I wonder how many pillars are left at the Parthenon...

We adventured down towards Westminster for our next adventure to the London Aquarium!
Ever since going to The Deep with my little Asian, I've fallen deeply in love with Aquariums even though they make me feel guilty for loving seafood so much ^^'

Later that evening we went on a river cruise along the Thames

Things off the list so far: 2!

* Thursday 8th August *

we adventured down to Baker Street hoping to go see the Sherlock Holmes museum but sadly it was too busy for an online booking and the queue was insane so we didn't end up going but we did nosy in the gift shop. Overall I guess it wasn't all at loss since I'm personally not that clued up on my Sherlock. (My favourite is the Cumberbatch version anyways)

Later on we went to Madame Tussaud to scope out some waxy goodness and posed appropriate and inappropriately ^^'
Following that we went on the Ghost Tour (thank you Wowcher) which was interesting and we think we saw our very own ghost. Typically, an Asian ghost...

Things off the list so far: 3

* Friday 9th August *

London trip is nearly over :(
FINALLY got to adventure into Buckingham Palace (still not sure if the Queen was in that day but if she was she didn't come out to play). Buckingham Palace is one hell of a place! The architecture and interior is amazing! Sadly we weren't allowed to take photos but I bought the guide book.
(This was added to the list)

The adventure continued to London Zoo and it took us so, so long to get there because we went through Regents Park which was lovely and scenic but the walk was a hell of a walk!
We were a little pressed for time but magically managed to see everything.

Things off the list so far: 5

* Saturday 10th August *

Last day in Rondon :( wahhhhhhh!
During the week we went through the list (well every night) and we established that we were going to scrap the Freud Museum since we weren't bothered about it and the Natural History Museum. We gave up on the Sherlock Holmes Museum since the queue was huge when we went back again and sadly, we couldn't go to Hampton Court because it was too far out and the Harry Potter Studios was fully booked until the end of the month :( We thought we'd try to make it up to ourselves by going to Platform 9 3/4 to see the trolley they embedded into the wall but that wasn't there either :(
So on our final day we went to The Tower of London - the Crown Jewels were very blingy!
Finally our Rondon adventures end with the Jack the Ripper tour that we nearly missed because of some of the lines closing and found thanks to GPS!

The List

1. Jack the Ripper Tour
2. British Museum
3. Madame Tussaud
4. Natural History Museum
5. Freud Museum
6. Sherlock Holmes Museuem
7. London Aquarium
8. Hampton Court Palace
9. Harry Potter Studios
10 London Zoo
+ Ghost Tour
+ Tower of London

* Sunday 11th August *

Time to bid both Rondon and my Little Asian farewell :'(

Ghibli Goodness

I went back to Middlesbrough to visit Jack for the first time since Christimas.
'Foon Foon ngo fan lei laaaa!' xD
(Foon Foon I'm home)
It was good catching up, making bubble tea (and probably getting more diabetic), knitting and watching lots of Ghibli films *heart*

Jack's knitting did the most odd thing though

For some reason it kept slanting making more of a trapezium shape O__o
The next day he bought more wool and decided to start again xD

The Ghibli films we watched while knitting:

Neighbour Totoro

Porco Rosso

Kiki's Delivery Service

Spirited Away

There was much discussion about how sassy and a cat Jiji is, if and we gave a sigh of relief that Ted couldn't talk because he would be the sassiest, bitchiest cat! This was the first time I'd seen Spirited Away and it was amazing and definitely worthy of all the awards it had won. Miyazaki is my God.

See you soon Jack!

I'll Follow You Until You Love Me

Today was finally the Middlesbrough x Leeds lolis crossover meet in York and it was ABSOLUTELY boiling!!! The theme was spots and stripes and at first I was going to make something since I accumulated a big bundle of red x white polka dot fabric.Sadly, I faffed with X, Y and Z for all that time and became a 'sweatshop slave' to my dearest Kimberry until the day before the meet I was not able to make anything -__-'
When I got home I rummaged to find something. I knew there had to be SOMETHING!
In the end I made a co-ord around my Wondertropolis blouse, wearing it with Cat in the Window.

I didn't make it to the meet until later because unknown to me, it was race day in York and the train I planned to get was too full so I wasn't allowed on for health and safety reasons. @___@

In the end I met up with everyone at Wagamama.
It was so nice to see everyone again! Especially my lovelies from my old Middlesbrough comm and as always, it's lovely to see the frillies of Leeds. I am forever thankful for my two lovely comms!
Thankfully, Michaela also hadn't made the JSK she said she was going to either xD high-five to being all talk!

Today also marked the birth of the Loli Paparazzi because sometimes Lolis get sick of being papped so we're going to pap you instead!!!

My wifey Hana photo-bombing someone being Loli Papped

With 2 of my lovely wives *__*
Mr Yan would be so jealous of my ability to accumulate wives xD hopefully David doesn't mind too much ^^'

I also bought a lovely white Meta JSK from Hana and changed into it for the journey home because it really was just too warm in that blouse and corset skirt!

Thanks for such a great meet guys! See yous at Frock On!

Allllpacpacpacpacpac ~

Over the weekend (28th - 30th June) I was at Q-Con in Belfast for the first time while I was visiting David.
I flew on the 28th and since I was getting bored at the airport I decided to get an 'Express manicure' since I had never had a manicure before. It was very theraputic and relaxing ^^

A shimmery pink polish by OPI

I was then told that they wouldn't be touch try for about 10 minutes and then it would take a further 45 minutes - an hour for them to be 100% dry which sounds crazy, but was true. However, this made paying an issue since my nails were wet. The girl pretty much had to get my money out of my purse for me ^^'
The manicure also wasn't as 'express' as I hoped and took half an hour rather than 15 minutes as advertised so when the woman at the gates asked to see my idea I had to apologise to her for not being able to get my ID out of it's slot in my purse because my nails were wet ^^'

However, it was a nice experience so if you're flying from Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport, it's The Cloud.

***

This was my first time at Q-Con and the first thing I saw once I got into the Traders Hall were the Alpacas *___*

I bought myself a yellow one ^^

I left that day with 3 Alpacas - one for me and 2 for back home. I looked like I'd robbed the place xD
The only annoying thing was carrying them because they were so fat and the glitter kept coming off and their scarves and went everywhere ><

Over the weekend I also view lots of anime and met some lovely Lolis!
It's always a joy to meet a fellow frilly and hopefully I will see you all again!
